释普岩（一一五六～一二二六），字少瞻，号运庵，俗姓杜，四明（今浙江宁波）人。高宗绍兴二十六年生。早年落发。初与石鼓夷公谒无用全公等老宿。孝宗淳熙十二年（一一八五），参叩松源崇岳禅师，并从松源迁江阴之光孝、无为之冶父。光宗绍熙元年（一一九○），由松源引居饶之荐福，明之香山、苏之虎丘、杭之灵隐、报慈，后回乡居四明运庵。宁宗开禧二年（一二○六），在平江府宝华山受镇江大圣普照寺请出世。后移住真州报恩光孝寺、安吉州道场山护圣万寿寺。理宗宝庆二年卒。为南岳下十九世，松源崇岳禅师法嗣。
