罗公升，字时翁，一字沧洲，永丰（今属江西）人。宋末以军功授本县尉。大父开礼从文天祥勤王，兵败被执，不食死。宋亡，倾资北游燕、赵，与宋宗室赵孟荣等图恢复，不果。回乡隐居以终。有《无名集》、《还山稿》、《抗尘集》、《痴业集》、《北行卷》等，后人合为《沧洲集》五卷。事见本集附录刘辰翁《宋贞士罗沧洲先生诗叙》，清同治《永丰县志》卷二四有传。 罗公升诗，以清金氏文瑞楼钞《宋人小集六十八种·宋贞士罗沧洲先生集》为底本，校以影印文渊阁《四库全书·宋百家诗存·沧洲集》（简称四库本）。
