《送崔全被放归都觐省》为岑参早期作品，作于开元末年诗人在长安时。

送崔全被放归都觐省鉴赏
夫子不自炫，世人知者稀，来倾阮氏酒，去著老莱衣——夫子：指崔全。自炫：自我夸耀以求仕进。阮氏酒：西晋阮籍避祸全身，远离司马氏政权，以嗜酒为由，求为步兵校尉，终日酩酊，遗落世情。此处指崔全不以干君、谄媚官宦为务，故而被放。老莱衣：指春秋时的隐者老莱子。老莱子行年五十，父母犹存，着五彩斑斓衣以娱双亲。后常以“老莱衣”表示孝养父母至老不衰，见《初学记》卷十七《孝悌篇》。此处暗合诗题“觐省”意。此四句写崔全因其洁身自好，不务谄媚，不矜夸以干人君，故而知音者少，名声不外达。虽微官暂寄，然遗落世情，终被再放归省。诗人表达对崔全人格的赞赏，也对其不被重用表示同情和惋惜。
楚王犹自惑，片玉且将归——渭北：指渭水流域，在陕西一带，渭水流经长安。关东：函谷关以东地区。此处指崔全回归的洛阳。楚千旬：用《韩非子》卷四《和氏》典。将：持。此处用楚王自惑喻崔全不得君臣遇合。片玉将归：喻崔全为怀瑾握瑜之才而不得重用，被放回乡。此四句写长安春草新发季，东都洛阳也值繁花烂漫时。诗人想象崔全将去的洛阳，以春之盎然生意抚慰友人远行被放的孤寂苦闷。结句用典故暗喻友人的磊落胸襟、良玉之器不得重用，如璞玉之真价难以被人赏识。
首二句作者以慧眼独识英才为好友叹息。出笔即开门见山，诗人义愤填膺、仗义伸屈之情溢于言表。五、六句以写景点示季节，用语平淡中有新奇，自然中有新巧，已现岑参后期追求“语奇体峻，意亦造奇”（殷瑶《河岳英灵集》）的诗歌艺术风格之端倪。诗中典故的运用显得深沉含蓄，耐人咀嚼。

岑参（约715-770年），唐代边塞诗人，南阳人，太宗时功臣岑文本重孙，后徙居江陵。[1-2] 岑参早岁孤贫，从兄就读，遍览史籍。唐玄宗天宝三载（744年）进士，初为率府兵曹参军。后两次从军边塞，先在安西节度使高仙芝幕府掌书记；天宝末年，封常清为安西北庭节度使时，为其幕府判官。代宗时，曾官嘉州刺史（今四川乐山），世称“岑嘉州”。大历五年（770年）卒于成都。
