释咸杰（一一一八～一一八六），号密庵，俗姓郑，福州福清（今属福建）人。出家后遍参知识。初谒应庵，蒙印可。后分座说法于吴门万寿、四明天童。孝宗乾道三年（一一六七），出世衢州乌巨山乾明禅院，次迁大中祥符寺、蒋山太平兴国寺、常州褒忠显报华藏寺。淳熙四年（一一七七），诏住径山兴圣万寿寺，召对选德殿。七年，迁灵隐寺。十一年，归老于明州天童景德寺。十三年卒，年九十九。为南岳下十七世，天童昙华禅师法嗣。有《密庵咸杰禅师语录》二卷，收入《续藏经》。
