释如净，字长翁（《中国佛学人名辞典》），俗姓俞，明州苇江（今浙江宁波）人。初自芙蓉山至明州雪窦山谒智鉴禅师，相侍十五年。宁宗嘉定三年（一二一○）受请住建康府清凉寺。迁台州瑞岩寺、临安府净慈寺、庆元府瑞岩寺，再住净慈寺。晚受诏住庆元府天童山景德寺。为青原下十六世，雪窦智鉴禅师法嗣。约卒于理宗宝庆间，行脚四十馀年，卒年六十六。有《天童如净禅师语录》二卷、《天童如净禅师续语录》一卷，收入《续藏经》。
