马子严（生卒年不详），南宋文人，字庄父，自号古洲居士，建安（今福建建瓯）人。淳熙二年（1175）进士，历铅山尉，恤民勤政。长于文词，为寺碑，隐然有排邪之意，为仓铭，蔼然有爱民之心（《嘉靖铅山县志》卷九）。能诗，尝与赵蕃等唱和，《诗人玉屑》卷一九引《玉林诗话》，谓《乌林行》辞意精深，不减张籍、王建之乐府”。尝知岳阳，撰《岳阳志》二卷，不传（刘毓盘《古洲词辑本跋》）。其馀事迹无考。据集中《金陵怀古》、《咏琼花》诸作，知其足迹遍及大江南北。近人赵万里辑有《古洲词》二十九首。《全宋词》第三册录其词。《全宋诗》卷二六五O录其诗五首。
