薛始亨（一六一七-一六八六），字刚生，号剑公，别署甘蔗生、二樵山人。顺德人。明思宗崇祯间诸生。少与屈大均同学于岭南名儒陈邦彦。明亡后，始亨与大均同弃诸生，不复仕进，隐于草莽。国乱，寓于羊城，后返龙江。年五十出游于罗浮、西樵间。后入罗浮山为道士。年七十而卒。著有《蒯缑馆十一草》、《南枝堂稿》。清陈伯陶编《胜朝粤东遗民录》卷二有传。薛始亨诗，以何氏至乐楼丛书本《南枝堂稿》为底本，参校中山图书馆所藏民国蔡氏手抄本，叶恭绰校香山莫氏片玉书斋本（简称片玉斋本）。
