信口雌黄的成语故事

拼音xìn kǒu cí huáng

基本解释古时写字用黄纸；写错了就用雌黄涂了重写。比喻不顾事实；随口乱说。雌黄：鸡冠石；黄赤色。

出处南北朝 刘孝标《广绝交论》：“雌黄出其唇吻，朱紫由其月旦。”李善注引晋 孙盛《晋阳秋》：“王衍，字夷甫，能言，于意有不安者，辄更易之，时号口中雌黄。”

信口雌黄的典故

王衍是东晋人，有名的清谈家。他喜欢老庄学说，每天谈的多半是老庄玄理。但是往往前后矛盾，漏洞百出，别人指出他的错误或提出质疑，他也满不在乎，甚至不假思索，随口更改。于是当时人说他是“口中雌黄”。《颜氏家训》中也有“观天下书未遍，不得妄下雌黄”之论。
